We’ve been working on this one for a while, and we are so excited to finally put it in your hands.
Our new Frankincense Whipped Tallow Balm is unlike anything else in our collection. This is the first and only balm we’ve made with an herbal-infused oil. We slowly infuse golden jojoba oil with organic chamomile and calendula, creating a beautiful, skin-loving base before blending it with our other nourishing ingredients.
And we didn’t choose these ingredients just because they sound good. Each one has a purpose.
•Grass-fed (suet) tallow — found in all our items; naturally rich in fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins, tallow is an excellent emollient that helps soften dry skin and support the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
•Golden jojoba oil — jojoba is structurally similar to the skin’s natural sebum, making it a wonderful moisturizing and conditioning oil. It helps soften the skin and lock in moisture without the heavy feeling of some oils.
•Organic chamomile — chamomile is known for its soothing and calming properties and is especially beautiful in a formula designed for dry, stressed, or easily irritated skin.
•Organic calendula — calendula has long been used in skincare for its soothing and skin-conditioning properties. It helps calm the appearance of dry, uncomfortable skin while supporting a healthy-looking skin barrier.
•Organic beeswax — beeswax creates a protective layer on the skin that helps slow moisture loss while giving the balm its rich, smooth consistency.
•Frankincense essential oil — frankincense contains naturally occurring compounds with antioxidant properties and has traditionally been used in skincare for its skin-conditioning and soothing qualities.
•Lavender essential oil — lavender is known for its soothing properties and contains naturally occurring antioxidant compounds that complement the rest of this formula.
•Bergamot essential oil — bergamot contributes naturally occurring antioxidant compounds and helps round out this nourishing botanical blend.
•Geranium essential oil — geranium is a skin-conditioning botanical that helps support the overall feel and appearance of the skin.
But the part we are most excited about?
The herbal infusion.
We don’t simply add chamomile and calendula to the finished product. We infuse them into the golden jojoba oil, giving those botanicals time to impart their oil-soluble components before that oil ever makes it into your balm.
That extra step is what makes this one so special to us.
It’s rich. It’s nourishing. It’s incredibly silky on the skin. And it’s made with the kind of intentional ingredients we want in our own skincare.
